What if you could detect and treat a wound infection before it even starts to spread?

Illuminate uses artificial intelligence to identify and classify the bacteria present in a wound in under two minutes. Now, our clinicians can quickly and easily detect infections and provide the correct first-line treatment.

How does it work?

Sequence 02-3.gif

Illuminate uses a combination of optical imaging and artificial intelligence to detect and classify bacteria. It first takes a picture of the wound using multiple wavelengths of light. A powerful AI algorithm then analyses this picture to identify and classify any bacteria that are present.

Benefits of Illuminate

Illuminate (3).JPG

Real time pathogen detection

Illuminate can detect infections in real time, allowing clinicians to start treatment immediately

Gram-type classification

Illuminate can also classify bacteria as gram-positive or gram-negative. This information is important for choosing the right antibiotic treatment.

Wound dimension tracking

Illuminate can track the dimensions of a wound over time, which can help clinicians assess progress and healing

Targeted first-line treatment

Illuminate can help clinicians choose the right first-line treatment for a wound infection, which can improve outcomes and reduce the need for hospitalisation.

Guided cleaning and debridement

Illuminate can also guide the cleaning and debridement of wounds, which can help to prevent infections from spreading.

Monitoring wound progression

Illuminate can monitor the progression of wounds over time, which can help clinicians identify any complications early on.
